Updated Daily Make Up Routine

While I post about beauty fairly often, it has been quite awhile since I have shared my daily makeup routine. For day to day, I like to look pulled together for work with minimal effort! I'm breaking down my steps below and how it can change from day to day. I like this make up routine because it's simple and I can add or simplify it to change it up.

Depending on how my skin is looking or what my day holds, I will start my make up routine with It Cosmetics CC CreamThis CC Cream is full coverage and has a velvet finish. Some days it is more than I need so I'll skip this step and go straight to concealer. When I am using it on my hand, I blend a pump of the It Cosmetics CC Cream with a pea size amount of Benefit High Beam. With a beauty blender I apply a small layer all over of my face and blend it down my neck. (Never used a beauty blender before? read here) I concentrate more of the product around the center of my face.

Next, I apply Bareminerals concealer to my under eye area, around my nose and on any other areas that are still red. I blend the concealer with the beauty blender and set my whole face with a light layer of Bareminerals mineral veil.

To add some color, I apply Nars blush in Orgasm to the apples of my cheeks with a fluffy blush brush. If my skin needs some depth or more color I'll use the brush and apply some Hoola Bronzer in lite to my forehead, hairline and hollows of my cheeks.

I start my eyes by curling my eyelashes. Then I go to my eyebrows. Using the spooly end of this Bareminerals eyebrow pencil, I brush my brows and then fill in with the pencil end. I concentrate drawing in hairs at the beginning of my brow. I use light strokes to draw in hairs and create some definition.  My goal is a defined, fluffy brow but I don't like it to be too perfect.

Depending on the day, I may add a very light layer of eyeshadow, my favorite is Stila's eyeshadow in Kitten. Most of the time I skip shadow but I will define my crease with the same Hoola Bronzer in lite. I line the top of my eyes with black liner. I like the line to be thicker on the outside of the eye and thinner towards the inside. My last step on my eyes is mascara. I swear by this blinc mascara because it doesn't smudge. Lips & Highlight:

The last touches are my favorite but always depend on how much time I have left! I love highlighter and believe that when it is done right, you can create a pretty glow.  I add this ColourPop Super Shock Highlighter on my brow bones, inner corner of my eyes and cheek bones. I also use Benefit High Beam as a highlighter when I need a more natural look.

My lipcolor completely depends on my outfit, mood, season etc! Lately my go to everyday color has been Charlotte Tilbury's Lipstick in Pillow Talk. This was one of my best purchases of 2019 (see here).
